Shadow Masque Raised Obsidian
Our Raised Numbering is an innovation that we have refined throughout many hours in our workshop. The dice have numbers that are embossed instead of engraved giving you a tactile and visual look unmatched by other semi-precious dice. You will receive your new dice with a matte finish and a coating that slowly dissipates in time, bringing out the natural beauty of the stone. Only available through Level Up Dice, and like all of our dice, are made exclusively in short runs.
The Shadow Masque Glyphic Design pays homage to all things dark and mysterious. Featuring some rounded elements but mostly sudden and sharp shapes along with a mixture of sharp curves and points the design harken to medieval rosaries and sculptures, masquerades and the occult. Our first in our new range of Raised Glyphics, this design is married with our Obsidian to give it the darkness it truly deserves.
Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass created when felsic lava rapidly cools with minimal crystal growth. Obsidian is black or dark green; one may also find sections of Gold Obsidian or Silver Obsidian, which is when microscopic pockets of air become trapped during the cooling process.
Our Glyphic Range Dice feature entirely original designs produced in-house. Every design is a new and unique design based around a particular theme, giving you a marriage of design and material. All our designs have two key concepts in mind, style, and number legibility so that they can look stunning and be functional as well.
We recommend that you do not roll your semi-precious stone dice on a surface harder than they are (i.e., glass or wood tables). We suggest you roll them in a dice tray to prevent possible chipping or breaking. See more about caring for Semi Precious Stone here
Natural Stone Disclaimer: Please note when ordering a set of our Semi-Precious Dice, they are created from natural materials, and there will be differences between every die. Our Semi-Precious Dice are hand-crafted, so there may be minor variations such as slight size differences, asymmetrical faces, or off-centre numbering. As such, each die is unique and may not be perfectly symmetrical; their roll is as balanced as one would expect from acrylic dice.
We suggest, if possible, to see our creations in person at one of your local conventions prior to ordering online to get a full appreciation for them. Check our Calendar to find where you can inspect our creations in person.
